Responsibilities & Expectations

The training Coordinator's role at Chick-fil-A Cerritos & Lakewood is to ensure that all team members at every level have the ability to learn and develop in the organization. The coordinator ensures that all team members are equipped with the most current training procedures and understand the journey of progression within Chick-fil-A Cerritos & Lakewood. 

The Training Coordinator must have the capacity to improve training procedures when necessary to ensure that they align with the organization. Their role is to ensure every team member in the organization is trained and certified to be operationally excellent in their specific role. The following training requirements and responsibilities have been identified in order to improve business metrics such as Operational Excellence, Customer Experience, Profitability and Team Member Productivity. 


  • Must have 1 year of leadership/management/training experience 

  • Must have full-time open availability on Fridays and Saturdays and equal morning/night availability Monday-Friday

  • Available 35 hours per week

  • Strong interpersonal skills with all team members.

  • Exhibit emotional intelligence enough to draw/encourage self-awareness in team members.

  • Knowledgeable with Google Drive & Microsoft Suite.

  • Sufficient with building and maintaining templates for training systems (training, observation,

               feedback, check-ins)

Outlined Responsibilities:

Maintain the journey of each team member (FOH & BOH) by:

  • Scheduling and coordinating training sessions (new hire - all levels)

  • Scheduling and coordinating Reviews

  • Scheduling and coordinating Observations & Feedback Meetings

  • Coaching to develop team members

  • Announcing graduations

  • Bringing self-awareness to team members providing an unsatisfactory performance

  • Communicating with HR Director for wage increases or disparities


  • $22/hr min.

About Chick-fil-A Cerritos and Lakewood

The Chick-fil-A Cerritos and Lakewood locations are owned and operated by Robert Hensen. Robert started his career with Chick-fil-A in 2007 in the Los Cerritos Center mall when he was given the opportunity to operate the food court location. He later transitioned to the Free Standing Restaurant located just across the parking lot in the Los Cerritos Center. After 4 years of growth and hard work in Cerritos, he was given the opportunity to grand open the Chick-fil-A Lakewood location which he has operated for the past 11 years in addition to the Los Cerritos Center location. He is passionate about building and maintaining an organization that will leave a lasting impact on the lives of his team members and the communities in which they operate.
