Restaurant Production Leader

Cerritos and Lakewood, CA

Looking for Hospitality Leaders with a starting wage of $20/hour. 


The purpose of this position is to encourage and develop every team member daily to create a healthy culture and to maximize opportunities for success for the team as well as the business.  Holding fellow leaders as well as team members accountable for operational execution daily is an integral part of this role.

The following Production Leader competencies have been identified in order to improve business metrics such as Customer Experience, Employee Retention, Team Member Productivity, and Profitability. 

Outlined Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for closing and opening duties for the stores efficiently such as: Inform back office daily workflow, counting and ordering change fund, (dis)arm the alarm upon entrance and exit, checking machines to make sure they are properly set-up and functioning, ensuring all items necessary to serve guests are complete.

  • Identifying training and development opportunities for the specific needs of the business. 

  • Taking disciplinary action on all employees that do not follow TM handbook policies

  • Coaching and developing Team leaders to help them succeed at their leadership level. Providing clear feedback and holding Team Leader’s accountable.

  • Responsible for making the daily set-up and communicating/executing the plan set for the shift.

  • Responsible for the time punches of the shift (breaks, clock in/out).

  • Awareness of the daily business metrics (labor, sales, productivity, etc.)

  • Answering the phone with excellent customer service skills and knowledge on how to properly handle situations. Apply the HEARD model. 

  • Handling on-site injuries or accidents, following protocols to provide information to Sedgwick.

  • Having eyes open to all  parts of the business to ensure that we are maximizing productivity. 

  • Notifying the responsible party immediately for repairs and maintenance if something is not working correctly. Using the HYVE app. 

  • Daily Critical, Daily Cleaning Projects, Food Safety Walk-thru Checklist (in progress).

Competencies/education and skills needed:

  • 1 year of leadership experience with restaurant specific preferred

  • Natural curiosity and ability to care for people at a high level

  • Must have open availability to work days and nights and weekends for a minimum of 30 hours a week 

  • High emotional IQ and ability to work as a member of team

  • Ability to learn our CFA operational standards and methods quickly and hold the team accountable for them

  • Integrity to do the right thing; to be a role model for the whole team inside and outside of the business.

  • Critical thinking skills in order to make educated business decisions in a quick manner to solve problems.

  • Having a patient and teaching spirit.


  • $22/hr min.

About Chick-fil-A Cerritos and Lakewood

The Chick-fil-A Cerritos and Lakewood locations are owned and operated by Robert Hensen. Robert started his career with Chick-fil-A in 2007 in the Los Cerritos Center mall when he was given the opportunity to operate the food court location. He later transitioned to the Free Standing Restaurant location just across the parking lot in the Los Cerritos Center. After 4 years of growth and hard work in Cerritos, he was given the opportunity to grand open the Chick-fil-A Lakewood location which he has operated for the past 11 years in addition to the Los Cerritos Center location.
